Sassy Samhain

A Conscious

Queer Celebration

of Transformation

On the 10th of November 2024, the majestic Genezareth Church in Neukölln transformed into a haven of colorful creatures, rituals, and celebration for the Sassy Samhain conscious queer event and sober party. This one-of-a-kind gathering brought together vibrant souls to embrace the dark half of the year with intentionality, sass, and a shared sense of community.

A Celebration of Expression and Authenticity

The event embraced a body-positive and inclusive ethos, creating a space where everyone felt celebrated, whether introverted or extroverted, soft or wild. Attendees were encouraged to express themselves by dressing as the creatures they felt most aligned with, adding to the evening’s playful and transformative energy.

A Queer Celebration of Transformation and Reflection

Rooted in the ancient pagan tradition of Samhain and queered up for the 21st century, the event celebrated themes of transformation, connection, and the honoring of cycles. While deeply spiritual, Sassy Samhain balanced reverence with fun, offering a safe and substance-free space for participants to embrace the season of reflection and renewal.

A Night of Ritual, Dance,

and Cosmic Play

Welcoming words & connecting cuties set the tone for an evening of inclusion and joy.

A Samhain intro & letting go ritual, led by Roby and featuring Agathe, offered a profound experience where attendees could symbolically shed old energies—some even choosing to have their hair cut as a powerful act of release and transformation.

The energy rose with a boom shakalala dance session, featuring Tami’s (aka DJ Andeel) electrifying Psytrance Spiciness and Arabic Downtempo beats.

Collective rest with a Gong Sonic Immersion, led by Xica, offered a serene and restorative closing

 to the night.

Between sessions, the Masketiere delighted the crowd with an artistic performance, embodying magical creatures and inviting the audience into a dreamlike realm of wonder and playfulness.

Dee captivated participants with an alien performance, a cosmic celebration of freedom and individuality that symbolized the boundless possibilities

 of outer space.

A break encouraged attendees to share snacks and stories, adding warmth and connection to the evening.

If you missed this magical night, don’t fret! We’re already dreaming up more queer-conscious events and sober parties for 2025 and 2026. Join us on our journey of community, connection, and celebration—stay tuned for what’s next! 🌈✨
